FAQs
What makes Nurture different?
At Nurture, you will receive full one-on-one patient care with a therapist that has a strong background in holistic care as well as a specialization in female pelvic health (from pre-pregnancy to post-menopausal). Dr. Allie relies heavily on a full body examination and functional assessment in order to create a plan that treats you as an individual.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
The initial visit (evaluation) is a comprehensive discussion and assessment of all of your concerns. There will be time for you to share with your provider about why you are coming here and what you want to accomplish, while your provider can evaluate all necessary body areas that may be involved. You will leave with a plan of care (as well as some homework!) that works best for you.
Do I need a referral?
No you don’t! You can be seen without any prescriptions from a physician. We will ask for your physician’s information in case we want to reach out to them with pertinent information regarding your care.
Can I use my insurance?
While I do not bill insurance directly, I provide detailed itemized superbills that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Being an out of network provider allows us to establish treatment based on clinical need, not insurance limits. Many insurance plans significantly restrict pelvic floor care, even when it is medically necessary.
HSA and FSA can be used to pay for treatment!
